Shagreen collection takes its inspiration from natural stingray hides. Stingray leather is known to be small & expensive; our sheets create one large skin of stingray by putting together multiple little fish skins, creating a large leather surface. The skin was popular for Art Deco furniture pieces at the turn of the century. You are now seeing this in high end furniture and accent walls.
